Solution Overview

Based on the YC-BUS communication protocol, Easyctrl Intelligent offers a comprehensive smart lighting control system tailored for large industrial facilities. This solution effectively tackles challenges such as complex wiring and decentralized management, providing an integrated and efficient approach to factory lighting control.

System Achievements

1.Flexible centralized control and zoned management

The large-scale factory is divided into several sub-factory zones, each capable of operating an independent intelligent lighting control system. No physical wiring is required between zones. Each zone is equipped with an edge gateway connected via Wi-Fi, which communicates with the cloud platform over the internet using the MQTT protocol. The factory’s central control room is also equipped with a master edge gateway (Wi-Fi connected), which similarly connects to the cloud platform via MQTT. This architecture enables both centralized management and independent zone control. There is no need for wiring between zones or between zones and the central control room, making the system highly flexible and efficient.

2.Centralized Management

The system allows centralized control and management of lighting across all sub-factory zones, significantly improving operational efficiency.

3.Energy Efficiency

Through the cloud platform, the lighting energy consumption of each factory zone can be centrally monitored and managed. Energy consumption can be effectively reduced through the intelligent control system.

This system adopts the EASYCTRL brand intelligent lighting control system based on the YC-BUS protocol. For large-scale factories, the system is divided into several sub-factory zones, each capable of independent intelligent lighting control. No additional wiring is required between factory zones; instead, each zone connects to the cloud platform via an edge gateway (Wi-Fi enabled) using the MQTT protocol over the Internet. A main control edge gateway is set up in the central control room of the factory, also connected to the cloud platform via MQTT over Wi-Fi. Each sub-factory area is equipped with a corresponding intelligent gateway host, which manages multiple intelligent lighting switch modules and dimming modules (depending on project needs, 0-10V dimming modules, DALI dimming modules, etc. can be used). Control panels or smart touch screens are configured in each sub-factory area as needed. The entire system architecture is based on the YC-BUS bus control structure. Each sub-factory control area includes one edge gateway and one intelligent control gateway host. The intelligent gateway host features a TCP/IP interface for integration with the local area network switch. Both the central and sub-factory control interfaces are browser-based, offering a clean and efficient UI that fully demonstrates the capabilities of intelligent lighting control.

GW.200A: The gateway of the Factory Intelligent Lighting Control System, serving as the core processing unit of the entire system, equipped with logic functions and supporting voice control. 

Depending on the project requirements, either gateway can be selected. 

The gateway provides a MODBUS-TCP interface for integration with third-party systems (e.g., BA systems).

EDGEGW: The edge gateway enables remote control of the system and incorporates functionalities such as edge computing and logical processing.

Simply replacing the faulty device with a new product and properly setting the ID number completes the replacement.
